Mystical Danube – Interpretative Panels

We designed a series of interpretative panels for the international Mystical Danube project, which connects several countries along the Danube River through shared cultural heritage, legends, and mystical stories.

The panels were installed at selected locations in the Danube region and serve to educate and engage visitors with the rich mythological, historical, and natural heritage of the river. Our task was to create visually attractive, durable, and informative interpretation boards that work both as standalone storytelling elements and as part of the larger cross-border project.

We developed a cohesive visual language that feels mysterious and atmospheric while remaining clear and accessible. The design combines high-quality photography, illustrative elements inspired by folklore and mythology, carefully structured text hierarchy, and a color palette that reflects the Danube’s natural tones — deep blues, greens, and earthy shades.

The interpretative panels successfully transform complex stories and legends into engaging, easy-to-understand experiences for both local visitors and international tourists exploring the Mystical Danube route.
