Rudarsko-Murski put – Themed Trail Design

Client: City of Mursko Središće

Rudarsko-Murski put is a short thematic trail that connects the rich mining history of Mursko Središće with the natural beauty of the river Mura. The trail guides visitors through key locations linked to the former coal mine, which played a crucial role in the development of the town.

We designed the complete visual identity and interpretive system for the trail, including informational panels, wayfinding elements, and graphic materials. The design concept harmoniously blends industrial heritage with the peaceful riverside environment, creating an educational yet relaxing experience for walkers.

The trail successfully tells the story of the “black miners,” offering a unique combination of history, culture, and nature. Informative panels placed along the route provide insight into the mining past, while the walk along the Mura river provides a calming contrast between industrial legacy and untouched nature.

This project is part of our continuous work in preserving and presenting the mining heritage of Mursko Središće, together with the monograph Beli i črni rudari and the branding of Centar za kulturu „Rudar“.
