Museum was created as a part of the project “Reconstruction and Revitalization of the Fortification of the Old Town of Čakovec into the Museum of Intangible Heritage”. The project value is 40.802.742,56 kunas. 85% of the project was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The leading partner in the project was Međimurje County together with Museum of Međimurje, Public Institution for the Development of the Međimurje County REDEA and the Tourist Board of Međimurje County.
